3 Quick Ways to Get Cleaner Dishes
During busy weeks dishes can seem to pile up out of nowhere – especially if you have kids at home! Before popping your dirty dishes into the dishwasher, we’re sharing three quick tips for getting sparkling, clean dishes on your next wash. No post-wash scrubbing and picking needed!
Don’t use a sponge to clean dishes.
Although it may be tempting to hand-wash dishes with a kitchen sponge, sponges can harbor harmful bacteria that will make dishes even dirtier. Instead, opt for a scrubber made of a synthetic material that will still get grime off of dishes without the added germs.
Grab antibacterial dish soap.
Believe it or not, not all dish soaps are created equal! The next time you go grocery shopping, be sure to opt for a dish soap that is clearly labeled as anti-bacterial, which will ensure that you’re getting the most effective wash each time.
Use the hottest water setting for washing.
Washing dishes in lukewarm water won’t get the job fully done – you need piping hot water to do that! Whether you’re hand-washing dishes or putting them in the dishwasher, be sure to set water temperatures to the highest setting. Bye-bye harmful bacteria and grime!
